Web Server Event Triggers

Discussion in 'Optigold ISP' started by lavadude, Jun 8, 2006.

I'm (still) in the of setting up the Optigold online signups. I'm getting stuck with triggering the account creation script. On the web server I have my script file that the auto server create event is supposed to execute. If I log in to OG on the web server as myself (as opposed to the web server user) the script triggers when I use the "Scripts -> Auto Server Create" menu. But If I go through the web interface, the script never launches.

In the "Online Signup" section of the "Web Interface Setup" I have "Automatically Create Account Via Server Events" set to yes.

Is there something else that I am missing?

    Thanks,
    Derrin Chong

Do you have automated tasks setup correctly and running on a workstation?

Ran into the same problem and found that automated tasks needed to be logged in on a workstation so that the server events can be run automagiclly at the set times.

Hmm, okay. Thanks for the response. I guess I'll have to try setting it up through the automated tasks if I can't get the real time method to work.

Do your new accounts go to a "Pending" status by chance?

Sorry for the delayed response, been on vacation. Anyway, yes they go to pending status. Is that not what should be happening?

Right... if you choose to use Pending accounts, it will put all accounts to pending (including web signups) because it thinks you want to review them first.
