WEB RINGS? Good or Bad for SEO?

    hi guys, i know back in the day WEB RINGS are good to be a part of - but what about now? any thoughts?

    I am not a fan of web rings, they were a technology used in the 90's and i think there are better ways to spend your time than with web rings

    Don't let anyone tell you web rings are bad. It was the original foundation of the 'web'; related sites interlinked to each other. That is what google based their algorithm on.

    A webring is a group of websites, usually with a common theme, that are linked together by html code placed on at least one page of each web site. This allows site visitors to click through and visit as many of the sites in the ring as visitor wishes. My understanding is that Google frowns on webrings in general. I avoid them on my websites for that reason.
