Hello, I have been viewing these forums for quite some time and i never saw this "website reviews" section before. So i am going to ask for your opinions on my site: http://www.cagintranet.com/ I am aware of the adsense being below the fold, but i do not want it to interfere with my content - at all. I make a very minimal amount on that, but i will be making my money on my designs, not from adsense. i have spent so much time changing little things here and there lately, that the whole site seems to blend together to me. I need some fresh eyes looking at it. What are its downfals, good points? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! Chris
Hi there, I liked the gradient on the right section. The layout of the site is nice and intuitive but the colors are just a little drab in my opinion. I would liven it up a bit with some colored font here and there, starting with the nav system at the top. The client and promotion areas looked great. See how it looks changing the bold headings on the rest of the page to the same color as the sidebar for those sections. My guess is that it would make the site a little "warmer". On the portfolio section the images kind of blend together. The majority of the images are white so having one stacked right on top of the other with a white background makes them a little less defined. Have you experimented with putting borders around them? Also, the top image wasn't a hyperlink as the rest are. I'm not sure if it was intentional but members might mouse over that one and assume that the rest aren't links either. I didn't like the image in the Why Us section. In my opinion its too big, has too much open space, and is unattractive to begin with. Your other images in those sections are vibrant so I would match that on your Why Us page. Although I've never been a fan of having to mouse over symbols to see what they do (top/right) yours stand out nicely and look great. As far as functionality goes you're right on the money. mixposure, yeah ive always thought it needed some extra color, but its been hard - as every color i tried to incorporate seemed out of place and plain old just didnt fit. Ill just keep trying. as for the portfolio section, i knew it needed help, and ive changed the way it looks probably 3 times in the last week and a half. i cant get that page right. thanks for the compliment on functionality - thats the one thing that can make sense in your head, but be completely lost on someone else... good to hear im in the right direction. thanks for taking your time...
