Hello, I am now managing several websites and I start to wonder if I should invest or not into a Web Ranking software to monitor more easily all my rankings... Do you think that such tools are really useful and that paying 50 to 100 USD will provide a real ROI? I mean the free keyword tracker provided by digital point is already a GREAT tool! so does it worst investing in a more professional tools or not? Any comments/tips/feedbacks from personal experience will be more than welcome!! Regards, Ludovic
I used to be enamored by link rank checking tools, but then I realized that SEO is an on going job. There is no point at which I stop and say "Ok, I've done enough". Even when I rank number one for a keyword, I still continue targeting that keyword, because if I do stop, someone else may be number 1 tomorrow. I personally would take the $50-$100 and spend it on links, that way you don't have to check rankings because you already know you're number one.
I guess some of them are commersial sites... If so it is ok... But you have to becarefull when you are selecting the software... In seo terms, if you use some software, google will ban you!!!
You can get banned for using Web Ranking monitoring tools... Where did you had this information? I agree that using an automatic submission software can get you banned but I never heard of getting banned for using a monitoring one. (but I may be wrong...) Regards, Ludo
Hate them all. Too unreliable, too innacurate. If you do have to check, do it manually. Try to move away from the old-fashioned ranking reports (I know some clients always want them) if you can. They're time intensive and nowhere near as valuable as your actual stats. They'll tell you far more about what phrases you're ranking for, and more importantly which phrases are generating visits.
