    Hello Buddies
Can anyone suggest me what to learn to be good web programmer? I am learning HTML and thinking of learning CSS, JavaScript, PHP. Is it what required for web programming? I want to embed web technology with electrical and electronic parts.

A "good" web programmer would know HTML, CSS, JavaScript and at least one server side programming language but also know about SQL and at least one RDMS.

Not sure what you mean about embeding electrical and electronic parts? If you mean creating something you can plug into your computer and control via your website then you are going to need to go beyond PHP and look at C++, Java, C#.Net or some other language.

When it comes to integrating with hardware such as barcode scanners, card readers etc, unless their is an API it becomes nearly impossible to know how to intergrate with it from a web platform. It is not something simple you can learn in a few weeks. The only way to interact from web technologies to hardware would be writing some kind of bridging application in C, C++, Perl etc.

Also, I found this an amazing resource to start learning web technologies: http://www.w3schools.com/ . It's free, the tutorials don't take very long, it's a good reference resource, and they're easy.

http://www.thenewboston.com is pretty good for video tutorials. My problem is that I usually go back to resources to refer to things. I need to commit more to memory.
