All you guys out there who build websites for people, do you ever host those websites on your own server? If so, what do you charge for hosting fees? Do you profit further from the hosting fees? Currently I have 2 clients whose websites I will be hosting on my personal hosting account. I pay $110/year for hosting plus an additional $10 per addon domain per year (both clients are using addon domains). I also take care of the registration of the domain name for one of them. What should I charge?
Yeah.. actually I bought reseller hosting to host sites and blogs that I set up. But most of my client have there own hosting..!! Since my reseller is from Hostgator.. I charge about $30/yer for blog..
Thanks resaik. A reseller account actually sounds like a good idea. Don't know why I didn't think of that. EDIT: hmm. reseller accounts are a bit pricey. It may be a good idea when I have a couple more clients to resell accounts to but for now, I will share a shared account.
