Web Interface

I am having an extremely difficult time getting the web interface working for Optigold ISP billing. I am able to access the database and retrieve records fine from the machine I am installing on. I have installed the iis connector, configured the web interface setup the way I want it, logged in as the user specified for webadmin access. When I hit the IP address of the machine the optigold web server is running on I get the login screen, but when I attempt to log on I revieve a:

    Connection Refused

    Connection refused by host x.y.com

Click the Back button on your browser to return to the previous page

Can somebody direct me to online documentation that explains this...perhaps a step-by-step for a newbie like myself. I checked the Optigold ISP manual, but there was nothing helpful in regards to setting up the web interface. It seemed to just list features it was capable of.

First thing would be to get the web interface running with FileMaker Unlimited directly. You can worry about the WSC after that. Have you already done that (and gone through the web server installation/config in the Optigold user's guide)?

No, you don't need to uninstall anything... just forget about WSC until you have the main stuff working. WSC is in addition to FileMaker Unlimited, not a replacement.

I suppose by biggest area of confusion is how it all fits together. From my understanding, FileMaker Pro is basically a frontend to databases, correct? Then optigold ISP is basiacally a "skin" of sorts that allows you to interact with those databases through filemaker in a more, narrow, ISP orientated niche?

FileMaker is the database engine. Optigold is the database.

Sorry for the delay. I decided to start from scratch. I have uninstalled Filemaker pro 5.5, Optigold ISP and WSC. From scratch, I installed Filemaker Pro 5.5 and Optigold ISP (web server install) on 192.168.0.19 (the machine that will be hosting the web interface). The main Optigold server is located on 192.168.0.3. I am able to connect to the main databases on 192.168.0.3 from 192.168.0.19. What do you suggest my next step should be?

Have you already gone through the web server configuration on the web server machine?

If you are referring to Optigold ISP > Maintenance & Preferences > Web Interface Setup , then yes. I have opted not to use Online Signup, Tech Support, ISP Manage, & Sales Person. I have only selected to use "Customer" and have narrowed permissions to check email addresses on file, change passowrds and checking invoices. Other than that permissions are limited. I have opened Optigold ISP, logged in as the web administrator in order to open the web security databases. In turn i am able to hit the IP address of 192.168.0.19 and I can log into MainMenu. What is my next step? My final goal is to get a login screen/interface like on page 365 & 366 of the isp.pdf manual, for customers. Thanks a ton for your help.

What do you mean you can log into the MainMenu exactly? You are able to log into Optigold? Which web interface are you logging into?

When I go to 192.168.0.19 (the machine w/ web server) I am taken to FileMaker Pro's Instant Web Pulishing Web Companion. Listed on this page is 1 link to MainMenu. When I click on this link I am taken a new webpage that looks like it has Optigold ISP's main menu screen...the same main menu screen as if I opened the actual Optigold ISP program

Instant web publishing should be turned off (per Appendix B).
