There wasn't a forum about hosts, so I just posted this here. If it is in the wrong spot then feel free to move it.

In your opinion, which is the best web host? Best price for what they offer and reliable, with not much if not no downtime?

I am not looking for a free host.

    Thanks. :)

I will have like a hundred people opposing my thoughs on this one....

    For me Godaddy work..
Cross me fingers, havent experience a downtime with one of my site and the shared servers are pretty fast (p.s.let me include, i my case) and if you get the coupon right, you can end up with a steal of a deal...

Also, a myth that i would like to denounce about godaddy hosting is that people believe that in the economy plan, mod-rewrites are turned off...

Thats not the case and as an example, you can visit my site

    http://free-web-directory.koollog.com/ - Godaddy Ecomony hosting
Just did a modrewrite for the urls...

    http://free-web-directory.koollog.com/191.html

p.s.if you need help using the coupon codes, pm me ...will help you out

No offense, but I tried GoDaddy and it sucked. Host Gator is the way to go ;)

I'm kinda partial to HostDrive.Com but I'm a bit biased. I work there.

I've never had any problems with hostforweb.com I've got a VPS and a dedicated server there and the support is great.

There is no best web host, there is only the best web host for YOU :)

To find a suitable host for yourself, you should first determine your requirements and budget. Then continue your search at hostsearch.com or findmyhosting.com ( both are reliable hosting directories ).

After you find web hosts that meet your requirements and are well within your budget, then you should test their response timings and look for further feedback on them.

I agree, every host is some satisfied customer, some unsatisfied customer.
