anyone using www.maxiehost.com? I thought I had a new and better host however maybe not... I applied and payed and nothing.... how long could this take. I have no user name and or active domain... Anyone have any idea how long this should take? It's a new domain so it shouldn't have to transfer...
i never tryed this site.generally it must take just 15 min for hosting account.after u change dns max of 48 hours to resolve.
i never heard of that host... why did you choose it ? does it gives better price or what ? usually hosting took 10 minutes to give email that says your hosting account will be created within 48 hours.
Should really take only seconds/minutes to get confirmation of username password etc and access to cpanel etc... DNS as said before up to 48 hours
Something doesn't quite look right here. The site has very little info, unlike usual hosting companies with all their comparison of packages etc and they say £15 ($25) for 2 years hosting, unlimited domains, unlimited databases etc If they are for real that is one bargain.
Yeah it's really looks to good to be true. I have still not received a user name or password it was not a option on the application... I guess i lost 25 bucks... i could have been worse Oh, and i wound this site by searching other post and did get good reviews... May it's just a slow process? I know if I don't receive anything in the next day I will contact PayPal to get my money back.
If they don't have an automatic setup it could take a couple hours to get a response. Did you try emailing them?
I did email them with no return... Oh I did get a responce that they would make a ticket for my problem and would get back with me within 12 hours ... that was 24 hours ago
I use hostgator.com and LOVE them. would recommend them to anyone; not the cheapest but IMHO one of the best at that price range
I use Hostgator as well. They have to be the best out there. Blasingame do let us know if you get an email back. If not, I'd love to add them to my list of bad hosts for everyone to see on my website.
Well it turned out to be a good thing... They sent email explaining that they were not getting email for the day bla bla bal a wirewall problem or something. i have uploaded my site and all seems to be well so far. also it was very cheap 1000Meg with free domain 25 bucks a year
A hosting company that doesn't offer reliable hosting doesn't rank well in my book. Similarly a hosting company that has firewall issues is equally flakey... Just remember you get what you pay for. Best of luck
