    Hello all,

I hope this is the correct place on the forum to post this. I have the chance to buy a domain that has been in the "web hosting" industry for sometime now. I will give more information regarding the site below. Basically I am trying to get other peoples opinions since all my friends do not really understand the concept of SEO, ranking, backlinking, etc..

    - PR5
    - Online since 2002
    - 217,000 back links
    - $300/month revenue only from text link ads

The site has not had fresh content updated on it since 2007 or so. It only has 17 total pages and all those 17 pages ARE indexed in Google. None of the pages are using Meta titles, descriptions, or keywords therefore im assuming this is why the site is not ranked for any of the keywords that it should be.

I am trying to get other peoples opinions who understand how SEO, aged domains, Pagerank, etc.. works when trying to rank in Google. The current owner of the site is asking $4,000 for it. I understand that I would have to revamp the entire site and add fresh content daily but what I am asking from DP members is, is it worth it?

I see the site as a "starting point" in a "saturated market" since it has age, PR, and back links.

    Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks

There are a lot of webhosting review sites. I know if you got good seo you can make some profits. However it is a saturated market.
