worked with WHP... usually they revert 50% of the referred customers/payments in order to compensate their affiliate payment losses.
    It's a rotten business

Because hostgator is rather expensive for some people,
    and to be honest,

If someone doest have their site up right away within a 30 day period.
    You wont get your commission.

LOL... See man, we don't really understand that they are junk unless we promote them have experiences like this. If it was their in-house prog I wouldn't have promote them but it was in CJ!!! Why wouldn't I promote an offer that gives $100 per sale?

People saying that HostGator has scammed them clearly have not been working in the web hosting affiliate industry for long - they have one of the best track records for actually paying affiliates.

Ive had hostgator say my commission went to someone else.
even though I was there when my client signed up through my link, and even cleared his temps & cache right in front of me before hand.

I do believe they have one of the best track records for paying affiliates, but i don't think they are 100% .

This is unbelievable. Why should a big company like PAD be involved in such a scam. that is if this is actually true.

This thread is starting to get a lot of misinformation. I have been doing successful affiliate marketing for quite some time now. Web hosting companies use affiliates to build their renewal base. This renewal base brings in $1000's to $100,000's+ per day. Web hosting companies pay a $100 commission for a $50 sale because the strong majority of these customers will renew. Affiliate sales are very profitable for web hosting companies otherwise every web hosting company wouldn't have an affiliate program.

By the way, back to the original theme of this thread. I received 100% of my October affiliate commissions from web hosting pad with no problems...

Ok WE ALL KNOW how affiliate programs are supposed to work, and why web hosting companies use affiliates to market their web hosting.
You dont have to teach us why!

    Secondly,
We know how much they pay, etc etc.

    Third
How many commissions did You have ? just 1?

Because ive had 5 dissapear out of ten!

Why are You so quick to say that its Misinformation?
    Do You work for them?
Why are you trying so hard to tell all of us we are Liars?

I am simply trying to defend a company that has treated me well. My only relationship to Web Hosting Pad is through their affiliate program. I have received a payout every month so far of 2010.

This thread indeed has misinformation. How can you claim that WHP reverts 50% of commissions? This is a groundless claim. I've seen nothing here but he said, she said.

Its not groundless, he actually stated that he got his client join and continue being their client, but his sale was diverted as fraud.

It's not plausible for a web hosting provider to say that your affiliate commission is reversed because the site you referred is fraud yet the site stays on their servers. Maybe a biz op? But like I said, he said, she said... Let's see some facts...
