Web Hosting Needed for Image Hosting Site

I need shared web hosting for a free image hosting site. I had to move this site several times because of hosting restrictions. Some due to inappropriate content (I can't review every image) and for utilizing too much system resource). I'm looking for a shared host that doesn't care what I do with my space.

    Any recommendations?

Before choosing a hosting provider, you should check the terms and conditions related to the content of the sites you can host with the hosting plans which is necessary for you as it seems that you have faced some problems due to the content of your site before. I would recommend you to choose a hosting provider who can contact you incase a complaint is registered so that you will get enough time to remove the content.

    I agree,

If you are serious about this, i suggest a VPS aswell. Keeping you incharge of everything. Aswell as providing you with greater unshared resources.

    regards,

I recommend you webcs.com. They have both shared and VPS web hosting solutions. I assume you will know what does it mean to be happy web hosting customer.

How much transfer and space does your site require?

I'd suggest looking at dedicated servers vs. shared. Very few if any shared hosting providers (at least the ones that know what they are doing) are going to allow you to host an image hosting site. Its way too resource intensive.

If you are looking for a host that does not care about it, you're not going to get a very good or reliable service.

A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is basically a virtual dedicated server. You are allotted a certain amount of CPU, memory, etc. on the server and it functions just like an actual dedicated server. VPS's are good for someone that needs a server to themselves, but doesn't require an entire server. Unlike shared hosting, your resources are yours and you and not sharing them with other users. The cost is much less than an actual dedicated server as well.

You always need to moderate, even rapidshare uses an automated moderation app.

If you've decided to choose a VPS in order to host your image sharing site (which is actually a better option ;)) it is necessary that you choose a good hosting provider. I would recommend you to choose a fully managed VPS with round the clock support so that you can contact the hosting provider at any point of time for assistance. If the preferred server location is US, you can checkout VPS plans at bodhost.com.
