Web Hosting for a tier 1 blog network?

I'm building my own expired domain, high PR blog network and am looking to a veteran to seek advice on the most cost effective method of hosting.

I posted on a hosting forum and was told that apparently no-one uses the A, B, C-class system for IP's anymore...

I need around 20+ sites to be hosted on different IP's

Is the best method to do this just buy a bunch of different shared hosting?

    Thanks

actually, yes, 20 different shared hosting, on different accounts will cost like 100-150$ a month

and you are going to make far more $ with it.

thanks, would it make sense to buy these hosting plans with different hosting companies too as if I register more than 1 with the same hosting company on the same account then I may end up with multiple sites on the same server right?

you could try Hostgator's SEO Hosting, i believe they will give you separate IP's for each website you host, Haven't personally used them before, but I guess it's sort of what you are looking for.

that is why you have to go with a major hosting company

because they have large ip pool, and its very unlikely, if no impossible, that you will end up with the same ip.

Pretty much yes you will want different hosting companies. But you could ask one of the hosting companies you get an account with if they can set you up with additional hosting accounts, each on a different server/IP. But you will not want to use the same hosting company for all of these sites. Here and there it would be OK but it would be best to have different hosts (different nameservers), all different IPs, different server locations, etc...
