    if you say something like "Guranteed 99.9% server uptime" you better not go on vacation to places with limited internet access. or find a trusted partner that makes the job when you are away.

    Why would you make your customers wait, because you are on vacation, if you are able to get on the internet and post here then you are able to send a support ticket to get your server back on line

    Do a dns trace, he says the server is located in Netherlands but he lied. the server is located at Caro in the United States

    Either he did not pay the server bill, or he had the server taken off line for abuse. So insted of waiting around for him go to live help and see what you can find out.

    I would like to thank you in advance on your amazing discovery and then for reading all the posts in this thread to see if i was trying to disguise it....
    You may want to refer back to page 2 to my post about changing server, i tell all new clients it is a US server and i am able to offer them a Netherlands server on request.

    Once again thanks for your brillant message but if you read my original message you'd notice this...

    This is a rare incident i have left messages with contacts to try and get it sorted and i am giving 1 month free web hosting to all customers, i will be trying my best to get it fixed within the next 48 hours.

    Hopefully a non working server is a "rare incident"! Especially if it's marketed with 99.9% uptime. But rather than having your custs run around in search for a contact address to use in case of trouble, you might better choose to forward your support mails to some reliable techs (using a mail provider like yahoo, msn, google is preferred over using a mail that is served from the server that might be in trouble!). An outomated system to check server status might also be a good idea (there are several free services for server monitoring with email notification).
    There is one simple rule in support: A client will always be unhappy if something goes wrong. But he will much be much less unhappy if he is informed proactively and does not need to find out himself that something went wrong!
    And to avoid legal troubles you should explain (in TOS for example) somewhere what "guaranteed" 99.9% uptime exactly means. Without such kind of explanation finally a judge would have to decide. Decision might then not be in your favor.

    Can I just say I have hosted with Kill before and he is honest and trustworthy.
    Ive just been reading some posts and your basically taking his rep away because of false accusations. People read the reviews and read posts before posting.
    This guy needs some credit for being one of the few honest hosters here at DP

    yeah, my meeting with the bank was successful, everything should be back up once my statement comes through (3-5 days) so i am extremely happy with the people that have stuck by me and as i said if its not up by 1st of april its 2 months free. so it should all be back up by 5 days max.

    Can i also comment that most the people knocking me down were not customers and some even advertised there services!!!

    p.s. you all have 2 months free pm me ASAP to take full advantage (existing customers only)

    I would also like to make note i am going to be having 3 servers in teh next couple of days and spread everyone across them so this never happens again.
