    I'm thinking of doing a webhosting business for the area where I live (and anywhere else in the www) and have a few questions.

    I'm thinking of doing a reseller account and selling some of the space that way.

    1. I'll need domain checking & registering software - how do I go about this
    2. I'll need a client billing system - prefare FREE
    3. To take c/c online (pay pal I was thinking of)


    Of course others as well, but that will do for now.

    Actually the best way to go depends on your average volume. If you process under 1000$ a month it's better to go with a 3pp. And PayPal is not the best choice. 2co is good enough, and as I know Merchant Boss is working with such stuff. If you think that merchant acc would be better ( not a fact indeed ) you should remember that you'd need a payment gateway also.

    While there are some pitfalls that you must hurdle over, Ensim Control Panel has pretty much everything you need built into their package. You will of course have to sign up for a payment gateway.

    Yes, Credit Card processing. A gateway is the "middleman" between your site and the major credit card companies. Card Service International has always treated me well.
