Can anyone recommend a good hosting/domain company offering a good affiliate program for banners and text links? Also open to affiliate networks that have hosting/domain offers but the ones I use don't have much in that department. Thanx!
Dreamhost can be unfair. You send traffic to Dreamhost, but if the customer would use a coupon advertised in Google, then you lose the commission. The real winners in Dreamhost are those who can advertise their coupon code in Google. You can send a million unique hits to Dreamhost but you won't earn a cent from it if the coupon used during checkout does not belong to you.
I have delivered hundreds of unique visitors to Dreamhost, but when I learned that your thankless effort becomes a total waste since Adwords advertisers are eating your commission, I pulled out all ads for Dreamhost from all my sites. It's not about money. It's about rewarding webmasters who really work hard for them - companies who are already giants, rich jerks, and members of Internet millionaire's circle. We are not that rich that can afford advertising our Dreamhost coupons in Google. Those who have deep pockets, they just reap what what we have sown. It's good that Bluehost and Hostmonster don't implement any coupon codes. Coupon is a form of digital brutality.
