    Hey,

Today, I woke up to see that a client by the name of "Firas", spread slander/false accusations on WHT and LEB. He claimed that we "paid a third party to hack his server".

We've talked with him numerous times via support tickets/email and phone conversations. After asking him numerous questions (e.g. What makes you believe that a staff member did this, what proof do you have, can you tell us what the staff's name was and/or the name of the person we "paid to hack his server"), he avoided our questions and made a quick exit, with one final message for us in the support ticket system...

Here are most of the logs: http://pastie.org/pastes/2436265/text?key=xnc9faujh3ojbnejtcq

At the time, we redacted his real name.

Quite obviously, this guy is spreading slander. If there was a security breach/someone had a problem with their site being "hacked by a third party by your support team", wouldn't you think the client would be sensible enough to actually report the issue rather than post on public forums/blogs?

If you run any web hosting/VPS services, I advise you watch out for this guy. If he posts anywhere else, we're taking action against him. As well as ticket logs, we have his phone number and call logs/transcripts.

In these cases, it's essential to have some sort of proof, so be sure to get all logs, emails and phone convorsations you possibly can.

Is there a reason you joined the forum to post about your dispute with a customer?

It seems very unprofessional in bringing a customer issues to some random forum instead of just dealing with it yourself. This is between you and your customer.

Companies deal with idiots all the time. Posting about it on a forum is not the proper way to deal with your customer issues.

there are people like this everywhere and you had posted here at least this be an information recorded somewhere, now in DP - must be useful for someone at some point of time. i feel there is nothing harm in posting info about these activities.

I'd imagine the OP is posting about it here to possibly beat that person to the punch, being proactive rather than
    reactive.

Clearly the OP was not a member of DP, and I see nothing to suggest the other guy is a member here either. I suppose he could just go to every forum, join and post about this dispute. Seems stupid to me.
