Hi, i am thinking to convert one of my free web directories to a free image hosting service, reason of doing so because the directory has a catchy name for an image hosting website. What you think? note that directory gets around 400 unique/day Thanks.
I say...go for it! You're getting traffic already, and everybody looks for free file/image hosts to let their friends/family/visitors download their images/files. I assume your primary objective of the site is to make $$$? If so, some well placed ads on an image uploading site is bound to make a good buck or two (or three, or maybe even four) The only thing you can do - try it
It may be successful, but this can also be hard to pull off - I run one called Qzoka, and it is hard to gain traction.
Image Hosting Sites barely pay, only expect $0.05 - $0.10 per click, that may be a lot you think, but it all seems just a big waste of time !
