Status update: It is no longer a cron job to check directory stats. I built an external application to gather stats for each web directory so the stats for each site should be more reliable, more consistent, and just plain more updates Also, the Yahoo Backlinks are now being tracked for the domain, rather than the homepage (thank you ! Ask !).

 

SWEEETNESS, my first full update completed, in less than 6 hours for the 700+ directories. Much faster than the PHP version You web directory stats should will be updated a lot more often now - we're shooting for at least once a day.

in your list is with PR 0

 

jk4net: I check 3 data centers for PR... just your luck that these are the ones that throw me a 0 for your site. I will add more Datacenters to my app. Thanks for keeping me in the loop jk4net!

After seeing this thread again i decided to see the details pages
What i found was rather upseting to say the least...

Question:
Does your 2nd largest Donater Deserve to have All his listings deleted or removed?
Unless im wrong that is...

Forgive me as this would seem a very unprofessional move on your part and Trust me its not about the $$$ as i could care less.
Its the point that after you start trusting someone and being generous that this happens.

You have been emailed and sent my list of sites I would hope
you add them and not take actions like this in the future to myself or others.

malcolm1: I did not delete your directories, nor will I delete ANY directories unless they are not actually directories. I am sorry if they are not on the first page (the default first page is ordered by pagerank, displaying 70 items at a time). We are coming close to 800 directories in our listing so it would be a VERY bad move for me to display all 800 on the homepage.

You will see on the top and the bottom of the listings, you can move to different pages.

I have deleted two submissions so far, and that was because they were not even directories.

Regarding the money, you donated, and I truly appreciate it and your requested link is in the appropriate spot on the Awesome Donaters list. If you use the search tool, I'm sure you will find all your directories (if they were submitted and you have seen them there before).

We all make mistakes as we are human...

I get PISSED when someone dileberatly removes my links as i see
others do it without even thinking so I BLAST them back into Reality.
As you noticed i dont hold back my feelings and tell it how i see it...

Much work comes out of these forums as you may already be aware
and submissions tend to trickle to nothingness when things like this occur.

Yes i found most of my sites on the last PAGE after they were re-added and given no
PR value so as to easily go to the back and NO one ever sees them.

No email was ever recieved by me but could have been deleted by accident.

Very simply return my sites with proper PR values, and as far as this is
issue.... it becomes mute but not forgotten.

malcolm1: sorry you did not receive my email... It explained everything i just said. I realize when links are removed, it is in bad taste and trust is instantly lost. I am not a scammer or an untrustworthy A**hole and I appreciate your donation!

The sites were never re-added, they were always there but my PR Checker can only check a few datacenters for PR (I am working on a workaround for this) but as we all know, some DC's give un-reliable PR rankings. I would love to check all DataCenters for PR Rankings but I would get banned... then we all would be at a loss.

My stats update PR, GBL, YBL, MBL, etc... (and now all backlinks) on a daily basis, so if your site ever gets moved to a different page - it's because of faulty DataCenter data. I will be fixing this, and checking all datacenters, but as for your sites - the stats engine is currently running, and should take care of any incorrect PR's

Actually, one way to see how long your sites have been in our system is to check the backlink history (the stats page):
For example:

These sites have been in our system since before Feb 16th. (Around this time is when I started scraping for backlink history)

I promise I will get my system working and up to par... but my scraper is still in a young phase. Thanks for hanging in there with me and thanks again for the donation!

Trust is a big word and is Earned over time and not just given.

I have always tried to help other directory owners by buying links
and do my best to look out for eveyone in the industry.

I will continue to help fellow directory owners as its
in my nature to do so...

Thier isnt much that gets past me when it comes to my directories and
anything associated with the industry.
I could own 1000 directories and still be aware of any new changes to any.

Regardless i wish you success, just please fix this oversite.....
