uptill the shake down of you know what i saw various competitions being held on various forums and sites, and now i see none,... so here i take this opportunity to invite all directory owners to participate in the Web directory competition. the competition is only open to directory owners, hence im making this post here! Well nice to see a competition to add some sparkle to this dull forum, however I don't think the Quality Guidelines are the one's most relevant to a 'quality directory'. I'd like to see 'editorial integrity' at the top of that list, and maybe 'unique category structure' in second place. anyway I can't apply as I have categories which aren't 'family friendly'. Good luck with the competition anyway, nice to see somebody making an effort to promote the industry in a positive way.
it's hard to judge which site is quality or not, and you would be better to select a list new sites out there to let us to vote to. hahha!
@Syted / @WallaceYeung - well yes, but for our part we just decided we need to put that step in to keep mfa, fly-by-night and under construction sites out, so when voting begins, its only the better of directories reach there... for the voters to chose from. ... your most welcome to put your vote, even if you dont participate there Syted,... always could use a better Editorial experience in making this a success M.
