    why do you need to "build up status in this forum"?

    if you need to increase post count, then ask a lot of question and participate in the threads with useless comments like many out there (and risk being banned)

    if you want to build up "status", then find an area of the forum which you are knowledgeable with and start helping out people. with useful answers to questions asked, you will not only bring up your post count but build a reputation over time
