I think jsp of java is also a server side technology for web development. But b'coz of complicatedness it is used only in entrprise web based softwares like ERP system for a company, billing system for a shop. But coming to comercial website development it's quite unused. even here in DP there's no subforum under programming dedicated to it even tough it's a server side like php. Let's come to the point - if jsp can be used for complete webdesigning and development (obviously css javascript html will be used) . can we use jsp instead of php for web development. As we see php is a language made for web..like diff. functions for digg. web application purposes which i don't find in jsp which uses java's api. Which technologies in jsp like beans or custom tag or any others can we use to develop a dynamic commercial website. let's discuss
There are many sites that use JSP but it does tend to be older/ more established corporate organisations that use it. One of our developers used to work for the UKs leading insurer and their sites were developed in JSP but we get very few requests for it and so use .Net 99% of the time.
wat's d problem i think...php's too easy and made very much for the web..so it replaces jsp..also asp is easy.... Still jsp is best preferred at enterprise level like ofline site for railway reservation system (b'coz of java power...)(obviously jsp + some others)
