Basically the guy made 2.5$ million from various web ventures. His primary site was was related to myspace. At one point he was making 100k+/month from advertising yahoo and google ads. Young & Stupid: How I made my millions Young & Stupid: How I lost my millions Young & Stupid: How I plan to get rich again I post this mainly because I believe it will provide lots of motivation to all of you as well as teach you some life lessons on what not to do with your money.
Great story. Besides "watch out what thoughts you have" we can see also that life and business expirience is important, too. Ours, but learning from others expirience, too.
haha, yea thats what I thought as well. Long read, but worth it. Its always interesting to see exactly what others are doing to make their money. Its also interesting to read how he plans to make it rich again.
I'm not very sure if this story is authentic or not. Look at his Adsense screenshot... Nov 20, 2001 - Nov 29, 2009 Hell, there was NO Adsense back in 2001. Sometimes people make up stories to get a buzz and get traffic and LINK BAIT. Doesn't even know how to make paragraphs in his writing....an experienced blogger doesn't do that. And he sure seems to have so many abilities for an 18 year old (yeah right), seems to know how to do everything, from photography to CSS to Javascript....to managing multiple online and offline businesses, hmmm, just sounds dodgy to me.
you can still make reports from 2001, even if no adsense around. Not sure why adsense has the setting there, just check your adsense control panel yourself. I think its a legit story if you ask me
Funny thing is the guy says he don't even know where all the money went. He can account for some of it, but not all of it. Sounds like he had fun for a while though. Even if it is all gone or mostly gone, he lived a dream many of us will never see. Reminds me of those people that win millions on the lottery, and a few years later they are completely broke too.
I don't buy this story for a second. It is a good read, but I guess I am simply to jaded to fall for it.
