If we search on any search engine for Web Design Tutorials, we get a ton of them! Which ones do you recommend? I really want to recommend the very best of the internet, and alone we can't see them all :)

I would recommend good-tuorials, although the best way to develop your skills is to experiment.

Excellent. And we could separate this into newbie tutorials, and tech savvy tutorials...

This site may be a little outdated but still good for learning certain things for web development.

Instead of creating redirect URLs, create a normal URL with a php tracker on it that will track the referrer and log it to a database. That way you have an idea of where the users are coming form.

Beware, however, that most of the tutorials found on the Web are written by people who do not understand HTML nearly as well as they think or say they do. If you are told that HTML is incredibly simple then almost certainly it is because that person has kept him or herself ignorant to the details of the language that are at all complicated. W3Schools is probably one of the better walkthroughs, but the World Wide Web Consortium's specifications, though dense reading, is the definitive source for information.

Completely agree with most of the recommendation thus far, but...

In a shameless plug, here's one I prepared earlier...

Actually I wrote it years ago and it's from the era of HTML 3.2 and 4.01 so by my current standards it's cr*p. That said it remains popular.

Anyway, it looks at and answers the most common questions about colours, tables, text, images and alignment and includes a simple 12 lesson tutorial from 'Welcome world' onwards.

More importantly for you, perhaps, is that tutorials on XHTML, CSS and Accessible XHTML have long been on my 'must get round to' list.

Only ask and it shall be done, after the Christmas hols at any rate..

Open request, or pm, tell me what you are looking for and I'll write it accordingly. :)

    .

    Hi!

I'm writing an extensive study on several subjects about "webmastering", and I'm only colecting the best resources to link them in the final project.
I know that we should teach everything correctly, but not everyone is tech savvy, so I need to cover everykind of people. All W3C tools and tutorials will be there of course. Now I need something for non-tech people :)
