Hi ! I have a great web design site .... and I also want to add a blog where I would post good information about web design too! The problem I encounter... is I don't find any good source of information at least to get inspiration for my posts. I don't find too much e-books nor sites to get some ideas about what i can write . I see even established blogs in this domain have like the same problem... I mean what interesting articles to write about HTML, PHP , CSS... etc? What was to be written I think is already written...I was thinking to make tutorials for every program or programming language implied in web design... but the same story .... the others already made tons of these tutorials... Can somebody help me at least with some ideas?
Back when I used to be actively blogging I'd post on the things I found interesting from my working day - a new approach to graphics, seo or whatever. Things are more complicated but I'm sure you hold your own opinions on things. You don't have to know everything, but know what to review and refer to.
If you check out the threads on this forum - in the section that interest you - you'll find questions which you might want to turn into a post. I've just seen one on a script to create tabs using jquery in just 10 lines. Another user replied kicking jquery to the curb and talking about tabs as being from a bygone era. Me, I like tabs and I find jquery useful. I don't have the time or budget to be creating custom js libraries for my clients so I utilise jquery and in the past prototype. That user's opinion is, quite likely, based on sound principles and you could write a blog post exploring the various sides to the argument. It probably wouldn't take long to do the background research and you'd end up with a copyscape-able article.
Offer solutions to problems! There are countless web design problems and questions in forums everywhere. Be creative in how you answer them. Offer multiple possible solutions. Present various scenarios. Go into more detail than the competition (and there's a LOT of that in the niche you've chosen). Already I have a great article idea thanks to your question.
