I am six weeks away from my associate degree and this is my latest project. http://dj-ttttttt.webuda.com/iWing/iw_home.html Any comments, advice etc... would be great.
It is awesome with nice colors of combination. The most appreciating thing in this design is that there is an option to select the search engine in which user want to search.
I'm sorry, but there's no way that could be considered a good web design. Pointers for improvement. -Background breaks up text -No text background -Default font used almost everywhere -Annoying, meaningless flash player providing no benefit to the website. -Terrible directory structure and names (iwing/iw_home? What?) -a:hover used badly in CSS. On some pages it produces boxs around content, on others the text appears white and blends into the background. -No real difference between sidebar, footer or header, only <hr> tags are used to break up the page. -No site title on many of the pages -Old fashioned background for the nav bar. Look at http://www.angelfire.com/super/badwebs/ for some tips.
Well, the lack of max-width makes it look like things are just thrown in there any old way, serif fonts are for print not screen (due to the DPI difference), the complete lack of content apart from some stupid pointless flash animation really doesn't do anything to help users find out about you, your services, etc, etc... under the hood you've got static style inlined in the head, wrapping elements for christmas only knows what, nonsensical/gibberish use of heading tags, presentational style in the markup, in the inlined style you're calling fonts that don't exist unless you add them as webfonts (which you didn't) ... It's... not good. Just which steaming pile of a WYSIWYG editor did you put this together with?
sorry mate its absolutely horrible, bad in design, coding etc..my advice.. throw it away and start again. Not sure what site you were looking at, what search engine options are you on about, or are you just spamming??
