Came across an interesting read, I recently started getting into web design again and I found this little tidbit of information. What I find odd is sometimes how subjective web design can actually be, it is hard to tell the fluff from the legit.

What do you guys think makes a good website, is it content, look, or a mixture of both? What are your favorite websites?

I really think it is more both . I mean you have to have good content that delievers good information as and is readiable as well as the layout has to be nice. Nice look, feel, and flow with good navigation. I am a web and graphic designer and these are the thingsI push for when I create sites.

As do I, that is exactly what this blog article was saying. Equilibrium between design and functionality.

I am a pretty big designer myself, I just find that there a too many companies the negate design for something radically monotone. I understand that many companies want a simple looking websites, however it does not mean it has to be void of all artistic/design qualities. You can still have a simple looking websites that is attractive, different, and content driven.
