    Site: ny-dev.com, a webdesign & development forum

This site is 4 years old
    This site was always mine
I did not buy this site

Reason for sale: I'm selling because of a lack of interest in keeping up with it
Traffic: This site gets 3000 unique visitors, and 3500 page views, on average, a month
    Software: vBulletin and VBSEO
I will provide any kind of transfers needed for scripts, etc.

The content on this site is 98% unique, but we do occasionally have people quote from other sites
I used to use Google AdSense, but got rid of it. I'm not banned from AdSense

Do you have any valid reason for your BIN price $6000?

To be honest, the appraisal websites are usually junk!
Fix a price based on the member base, revenue and the growth potential of the forum.
Fix a honest price that you expect for the work you did with the forum!

I hope I'm not rude and you got my point!

I honestly did a lot of work on the forums in the 4 years it has been around. I believe there is a lot of potential for growth, as there is a good member base already, and has a pretty decent ranking. what do you believe is an 'honest' price?

if 6k is out of range, what is within range, in your opinion?
i have more than 1200 members, but don't know how many active.
about 15-20 new posts a day
i'd sell it with the vBulletin, sure

Looking at it I'd say your best BIN price would be $1000 (very lucky if you reach that). You have a decent number of posts per member and your forums all seem to have some conversation on them. But at only 5,000 posts your really talking about like $250-$400.

Sorry man. Forums aren't worth much until they reach that mark where little work is required and it shows strong exponential growth (at least 200+ posts/day).

I'd say that's about right. And, then, only if there are at least a few active members. Too many of the forums that come up for sale here are barren wastelands or spam magnets.

The forum is basically dead with hardly any posts. I'll start you off at $100.

    Hi webdevguy,

Unfortunately I do have to echo what some have said. Thew price is way too high. To give you an idea, I bought WebDesignForums.net (24k members, and active) for $9k this year. For a 1,200 member forum which is in a state of neglect, you're looking at a maximum of about $800 ($600 would be more realistic - the post count of the forum is very low). I know this isn't what you want to hear when you've put so much time/effort into the site, but unfortunately the amount of time spend on the site rarely comes into its selling price.

I'd like to make you an offer, but first I would say that should I take on the site, it would be merged into the above mentioned one.

I'll start you off with a $300 offer.
