web design company name? use my own or make it up?

    im trying to establish a consistent name to go by for web designs im doing. ive mostly just been calling it by my own name, justin bourne- Bourne Design, or Bourne Web Design.

    What are peoples thoughts on using your name for company name just in general? Im ready to design some sort of text logo but i need come up with something.

    I would go with Bourne Design, it adds a personal touch to your work and not a corporate stance.

    Yeah.. I would go with Bourne Design too.. As a foreigner, it looks cool to me :D

    How about bourne again designs. Catchy and people would remember it. Ties in with the Jason Borne movies.

    Using your own name can be a problem when you want to sell your company. You could loose the rights to your own name.

    Very few large companies have used the name of the founder. Smukers could be an exception with their slogan - With a name like Smukers we've got to be good.

    It's always good to separate your personal life from your company life IMHO.
