Design - 7( could be 9) if you make everything to look better.

 

The design is ok, not great. The content could use some work. It seems that it's all about color and nothing else. What about everything else that goes into creating a website like navigation, content, load time, etc. You get my point.

Just keep at it and add different topics that would be useful to DIY webdesigners. Something that I do that helps is to write ideas on paper first. Something about the act of putting pen to paper seems to really let the ideas flow. Maybe it would work for you.

I hope this helps. Remember, don't give up on it. I had to redesign my site I think it was 4 times before I was happy with it.
