Hey guys, Im currently working on a project to develop a statcounter type counter site. Can you let me know what features you would like to see in a web counter site? I'll let you guys know about it once its out. Thanks Joel
I agree. Google Analytics has really got the potential and users need. For me, they ALL got it. Amazing!
Do you plan on selling the script? If so I would be interested in functionality to let users display a hit counter in text and none of those silly image counters. Also let users customize the display of the numbers or offer invisible hit counters. Aside from that the basic features of a good analytics service such as google. With graphs and incoming link referrals and all the good stuff. I definitely think it's essential to let users decide on what they want to display on their site so allow customization.
I would like to see a tool that predicts future visitors based on the previous information and a number of factors although it would be hard to fine tune.
make it invisible and give it at free of cost and i think this niche has time gone as analytics appeared
I think going against the giants like Google Analytics will be suicide. But if it's going to be like a widget plug in for blogs/sites, you should focus on design. Most of the counters now are ugly, so that's a good angle to look into.
