Web Color Names

    I was just wondering if anyone knows of like if there is a list or a standard for which colors have names meaning which colors have official names as recognized by IE or Firefox?

    Does it even matter what browser or is it all regulated kind of by an organization?

    Yes, and read the note that mentions only 16 colour names are allowed for valid HTML/CSS. Besides, strange things happen :p For example, IE6 accepts gray and lightgrey but not grey and lightgray (note the inconsistency).
