What are some of the best web analytics scripts/services? I use Google Analytics, but I want something that provides solid, realtime data also.
Google Analytics has many features which may not be necessary to all type of webmasters.. Most of the small to average webmasters utilize only a part of the features provided by Google Analytics. And as wwpro said, its a bit difficult to understand those terms in initial days.. You need to put Google Analytics Code on each page for which you need tracking and other data. One of the Best feature is the Entry and Exit data as it is not provided in the cPanel Stats like awstats etc.. So its better to put the Tracking code only to the Initial page of the folders if the website is organized correctly. But It all depends on the features required by the webmaster.
