Ok, i wasn't too sure where this question would belong, but:

what is the difference between web2.0 website and web1.0.

Two people have reviewed my website and told me it wasn't a web2.0 website.

One person was talking about fonts, the other was talking about my logo.

    Here is my site http://talktemplate.com

Please help. I will rep anyone that helps.

    Thanks.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, fall into the web2.0 style. It's basically, shit loads of gloss and reflections, which some people think is 'cool', but general people overuse it.

uhm no, all web2.0 means is a web site that has the users involved, like social networking, user feedback, submitted stories, etc. Some example of web2.0 sites include Digg.com and Facebook.

That being said, web 2.0 has nothing to do with web design. Some say "Web 2.0 Design" because just as web 2.0 surfaced, a new way of designing websites started appearing as well, specially with new versions of HTML (XHTML), CSS, PHP, Ruby On Rails, AJAX (which is basically Javascript).

So, there is no such thing as a web 2.0 design. Facebook could be as flat as a page with text: it's the technology behind it - not the design - that makes it a Web 2.0 website (or company for that matter).

But, if one is to go an rate web design as web 2.0ish, then yours could fall into that category.

Web 2.0 fonts don't exist, a font is a font.

You could have fonts compliant with the new design trends and call them web 2.0, though. Play with gradients, strokes, and shadows and see what you come up with.

    That is right.
web2.0 doesn't have accurate definitions, but the features is "users involved".

As I know blog is a typical web2.0.
There is no doubt that web2.0 is a web trend.

"users involved" is definitely one of the features of web 2.0, but not the only one. For example, forums were around since web 1.0, and a forum's purpose is user interaction.

A blog is web 2.0 because people can comment, so you're right on that one.

However, web 2.0 is not a trend: rather, it's an advancement in technology.

Some analysts predict that Web 3.0 should appear in the next couple of years. In what form? I don't know, but I would say that crowdsourced websites would be the a popular part of it: websites powered entirely by their users/visitors, kind of like forums

Web 2.0 is the style and appearance of the website - how you can interact with it.

You can't really have varied definitions if there's only one true definition. However, everyone has it's view of what web 2.0 is, so asking someone to tell you if your site is web 2.0 or not is probably a waste of time.

Web 2.0 is a website which the content is generated by user and the MOD of the website while Web 1.0 is the website content that generate by MOD which mean one side involvement
