Web 2.0 Style logo contest $10

Hi,

This is a contest to design a web2.0 style logo for RankTool.info.
It's a simple 1 page site for finding your google pagerank.

The logo should be on a white background so it can go straight on the site.

I'll pick a winner within the next 7 days (sooner if there are some good entries) + they will recieve $10 via paypal.

Any questions please ask them in the thread so that everybody can see the answers.

@ msdriven79 nice try, it's not quite what I'm after at the moment. I can see what you were going for, I don't think it's 100% clear that the arrow is a T in the second one.

@ s_u_p_e_r_s_a_m: This is a pretty good entry, I still don't feel like it's quite what I'm after. Good attempt though.

@ DaveyBoy: This is just the kind of design I am looking for , def. my favourite so far. You've done a really good job here! Is it possible to make the shine just slightly less bright + have you experimented with different colours?

@ everyone: I was just thinking about it + I would prefer it if the .info bit is included in your designs so that people don't get confused and think it is .com.

It's hard to put my finger on it exactly but I think perhaps the style is a little too "cartoonish" if you get what I mean. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice logo it just doesn't feel quite right for the site.

I REALLY like DaveyBoy's entry!

My only thought to the OP is that you might not want to use Google in the logo's tagline since it is a trademarked name...not sure on that though. You're not really competing with them so it might not be a problem. Just something to think about.
