The Columbia-Inland Corporation has just started marketing a new therapy toy/tool that really helps kids with autism and other disabilities. We have the funding sources already set up to pay for a Power Pumper for each kid that needs one. We just need some people to help us let people know that they are available.

    http://www.powerpumper.com

I am the program manager/web designer, and I don't know how to get people interested in our program. This is all new to me. We would like to have some people help promote our product. Do you guys have any suggestions on ways that I could get the word out better? I know some about search engine optimization, but promoting an affiliate program is a little beyond me right now. We are trying to market the Power Pumper to help children with autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, brain injuries, hemiplegia, brachial plexus injuries, and other developmental and congenital disorders.

The market is huge. 1 in 67 kids have autism now. Who should I talk to or contact to really start things moving?

If you are interested, the info about our affiliate program is here:

    Warm regards,

Brrr I can't believe that 1 of 67 kids have autism, but is true. Actually about "1.5% of people have autism, which is about 46,000,000 people" says wiki.answers(dot)com/Q/What_is_the_percentage_of_autism_throughout_the_world
This is really a huge market.

I signed up and applied for one since my daughter is autistic. I hope the process goes well as this seems like a great therapy tool for her and all other children.

I think there are millions of kids in China have autism now, they need your assistance.

That's great, Plibb! I hope the funding process goes smoothly. Make sure you call your state facilitator to help you with it.

On another note, I spoke with our board of directors today and told them that we needed to make the affiliate program 2-tiered. I got the okay, but we are not going to advertise that part on the website... the board thought it might make it look too 'pyramid-like.'

So, as of now, all affiliates will get a $5.00 commission for every Power Pumper sale generated by someone she/he referred. I hope this will put our marketing efforts in high gear. There are so many kids out there that could really benefit from one of these.

    Kind regards,

    Joshua Gulick

$30 for a $600 sale? that's just the 5%. Glad you are helping children but that seems a little low.

OMG! This is wonderful !!!!! I know several children who have "issues" and they would LOVE to ride a bike of any kind, and are always so upset as they can't :( NOW they can! and help their motor skills and such in the process :) I am going to spread this as far as I can - it is something I can 1000000% back and that is rare ;)

That's awesome. I really like to hear stuff like that. I wish you knew the whole story behind the Power Pumper... it has been a long process getting this to market. It has been a labor of love for a lot of people for literally years. Funding has been difficult, and there have been so many issues. But it is all coming together now. Thanks again so much!

Another update: in addition to the $5.00 second tier commission, I am setting it up so that everyone who purchases/begins the funding process is automatically signed up as an affiliate and emailed an affiliate link that they can use in their email/website, etc. The thinking is that this will provide an incentive for people to spread the word, and also make it easier for affiliates to setup a productive second tier. In our market, most of our potential customers are good friends with other parents who have children with similar problems. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here, as I am monitoring this thread.

    Kind regards,

    Josh G.

I'm really interested in this scheme as I have a PR3 autism website - has anyone used it that can vouch for it or tell me about conversion?

It is a new program, there have been no affiliates onboard longer than a month. If you would like to chat, you can contact me immediately if you like. I did the website design and am managing the affiliate program. You can call me at 503-305-3773, Skype: joshua.gulick, or YIM: joshua_gulick. Or leave your contact details and I will get back to you. I'll be out for a meeting for a few hours this afternoon, but the rest of my schedule is free.

I did a bit of coding and set it up so that every person who purchases/orders a Power Pumper is automatically signed up as an affiliate and sent a nice email explaining the opportunity with their special affiliate link. This should help you build a profitable second tier a bit faster. All the best.
