Revenue for the period totaled $4.23 billion After subtracting commissions paid to its thousands of advertising partners, Google's revenue stood at $3.01 billion -- about $70 million above the average analyst estimate. Man I feel ripped. http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/071018/earns_google.html
can you post your source? edit: i guess googling "Revenue for the period totaled $4.23 billion" i found thousands of sources. to be honest, i don't think their revenue is only adwords...so they probably pay higher than 28%
i believe they pays anywhere from 50 to 75%. that will be still hugely depending on conversion rate i guess.
What ever they are paying it's good and fair enough if you know how to get the traffic for free anyhow do you want to supply a link of your information sources !!!
you realize that all the ads on google.com they make 100% off them and alot of adword users only have their ad on google.com.
I think you need to learn more about accounting. Cost of traffic acquisition, cost of employees, etc. No one runs 100% margins.
No one really knows how much they share for publishers. But it's probably true, I think it's about 30% and it's fair enough.
Actually the figures that were quoted were REVENUE and not INCOME so accounting items like you spoke of would have nothing to do with it at the revenue level. It is true that all the ads run on Google.com are contributing to the overall revenue of the company (at 100% of their cost to the advertiser) and there is no way to know how much of the $4.23 Billion comes from adsense publishers or Google.com unless Google decides to release a detailed breakdown.
I believe I read in their earnings numbers once that they do pay out 70% Also you have to into consideration that of all the revenues that the make from their own site.
You have to factor in the fact that all the clicks from the billions of google search queries don't go to publishers. Thats 100% profit. Thus your #'s are wrong.
I am sick of your posts always wanting to drop links and post source cant you ******* take anything on blind faith.
Why do you argue? There is a simple way to find out how much google pays out. Start an adwords campaign on a weird subject no-one uses and set a price tag 0.1-0.5 per click, then set up a blog at the same time for the same subject. Use your adsense and create a new channel just for this blog. Now you have a blog you can be sure no-one reads and adwords campaign that no one will click. On your blog this campaign will appear and you click on it. No one will blame you if you clicked on your own ad once in a lifetime. You can now see how much you paid for that click in adwords and in adsense you got the revenue per click. And you make it look like its a mystery...
