Somebody please explain to me why Irwin Schiff is in prison.

If the enforcement of government is not based off of laws, and they are not applied, what style of government is that?

Or did I get something wrong? Someone should explain..

 

Tax evasion. If you refuse to pay your taxes repeatedly you will go to jail. Perhaps we won't be required to pay taxes someday, until that time I don't think your gonna beat the IRS.

 

We are not, it's voluntary. That's the only reason Supreme court didn't strike Internal Revenue code down. He didn't 'evade' taxes, he just didn't know how to prove his innocence. Under internal revenue code, you are guilty until proven innocent. You have to at least owe taxes before you can evade them

That's why the Constitution and traditional Anglo-Saxon law is a better program than Bush-Clinton's NAU and UN resolutions

 

Tell that to the IRS, I don't think they know that. He went to jail for evading taxes because it is not voluntary. Here is a good site to explain why you cannot win against the IRS.

 

Even IRS admits that income tax is voluntary and you claim it's not... I can say it again, if there was an involuntary tax in the US it would be struck down as unconstitutional. Read the Constitution

 

I have never been told by the IRS that paying my taxes is voluntary. So I went to irs.gov and here is what I found:

There is no law that makes income tax mandatory. BTW you are getting your info from sources like quatloos and IRS, would make more sense to go to the law and court decisions instead. The court judges make way more sense than politicians, they are the only people on government payroll to pay attention to as far as I am concerned

 

Actually, Quatloos is keeping track of court cases and judgements as well. Currently, they are featuring Schiff at the top of the America's leading untax expert. I just think it is good to understand your costs vs. return of investment. Schiff will be imprisoned for years and what is his return? Maybe someone feeling sorry for him on a forum? It's a waste of life. People that have a problem with taxes should do peaceful protest, but pay their taxes at the same time. The government is just like Google, they know everything...

 

That makes as much sense as just about anything that comes from Quatloos. How can they call someone who is doing his 3rd or 4th jail term an expert? Schiff is an old angry guy, I have a lot of respect for him but it's pretty clear he is no expert. An expert would be someone who beat IRS

That said, Schiff isn't in jail for breaking the law, he is in jail for being ignorant of law. Under tax law, you are guilty until proven innocent, and he didn't know how to either prove it or un-volunteer from paying taxes. Tax authorities picture people like Schiff as 'experts' so that they can keep your attention away from real experts. God forbid you from learning how the system works and stop sending your $$ to IRS

 

Exactly. I found about 7 court cases for him, but he always loses.

Do you know of any court cases where a tax evader ever won?

 

If people are so nautilus of this “dictatorship” lol, let me point out some steps:

Get an education at some Big time University, and make sure study legal/law.

Get to be friends with some of the most powerful men in the university, or for that matter anywhere you go (your on a journey at this point).

Become a lawyer and journalist and a lobbyist whiles building the public trust, checked?


Serve some measly years in the military years (remember you’re trying to convince the public you’re a “good citizen”).

Run for office and rule with an iron fist!

 

Great thread. I agree with demosfen, taxes are voluntary, and I agree with Rebecca, pay your taxes regardless.

There was a poll sometime back, and people were more afraid of an IRS audit than a terror attack. The IRS is brutal, and it's a high risk game to challenge them.

Although people have and do beat the IRS.

IRS is domiciled in Puerto Rico, but it collects taxes on behalf of Federal Reserve, which is a front for a group of European banks

 

Thanks for clarifications, now slap me if this expression is wrong, but why do foreigners have tight control on American money, I could be wrong, then correct me… I’d be literally outraged if I have to pay my money to foreigners, and my government is forcing me to do it or I go to jail, I’m not clear of the USA’s relation to EURO… guess the Amero deserves merit also? If Europeans have so much authority grounds on the IRS, which holds all the laborites of Americans, then I’d be inclined to agree on the Amero theory! I don’t know how European’s have so much power of the proclaimed world’s most powerful country, then that would render the European Union the worlds most powerful unity…?
