"We have disabled ad serving to the site" - account still active

This morning Google emailed me that "we noticed that you are currently displaying Google ads in a way that does not comply with our policies".

My account is still active but my biggest (80% income from Adsense ads) website would no longer display Adsense ads. Google wrote "...we have disabled ad serving to the site.".

An example was given at http://www.bestwebsites.com.my/directory/photography/

I had studied it thoroughly but still clueless.

    Anybody can assist? Thanks

    here is your answer.

How on earth you thought naming Google adsense ads as "Best websites". Clean up your act and ask to reinstate this website.

Good luck. Next time, try making some money with honesty

You might also have drawn the line in the sand with a paint brush. You've got every type of Google ad running on that page except Youtube videos. And you've maxed it out at that, and presented misleading info to unsuspecting users.

Are you sure you're affiliated with adsensefordummies.com? Maybe take a couple of their words on board :)

This here is your answer. Check under "Encouraging Clicks" in the Adsense Program Policies and you'll find 'May not place misleading labels above Google ad units - for instance, ads may be labeled "Sponsored Links" but not "Favorite Sites""

You are serving 3 ad blocks and 1 content search ads on the same page. If I recall right, I read somewhere you cannot serve more then 3 ads on a single page. If thats right, thats where the problem is. But I think you wanna check that with some expert on this.

No thats wrong. You can run 3 Adsense blocks, 3 links and 2 search boxes on one single page.

Thats not the reason for banning his site. The real reason is naming adsense ads as "best websites" and then encouraging clicks by saying these are best websites. Thats as good as saying "click my ads"

That's not a blackhat tactic.

Why do people use the term "blackhat", when they wouldn't know a dark wizard if he ran over them with a bulldozer?

Hahaha - the simplicity of that comment made me laugh.

Agreed, it's not blackhat...blackhat adsense? Hmm, could be on to a new term there:eek: Or, you could just lay down your hat, pull out your guitar and busk for us, we'll cover your $0.03 adsense revenue every day til 2009;)

    godmode,

I will be writing to Google to ask whether "Best Websites" immediately above the ads is the issue. Please be assured that I was not trying to "try making some money with honesty". I'm now beginning to realise the mistake.

    Spider-Man,

I'm displaying the max number of ads allowed. Nothing more.

    Dklein180,

No blackhat tactics here. The others too agreed that there are no blackhat tactics.

Please elaborate your claim that there are blackhat tactics so that all of us can learn something.

    Trekster,

as I had said earlier I'm now beginning to realise the mistake.

    webcosmo,

Sorry. You are wrong. godmode & myadsense are correct.

    godmode,

I love your "Coz people love to generalize terms and call a photocopy a XEROX."

    Spider-Man,

You wrote "Hahaha - the simplicity of that comment made me laugh." May we all laugh with you?

Thanks a lot to all of you.
