The ignorance of this claim makes my brain bleed forth in agony. The magnetic poles do switch, but it has absolutely no effect on the rotation of the planet. That would be like saying "I has magnet - now I makes room fly!". Doesn't work that way. At all. No they won't. Really. They won't. Planets have aligned before - but its not going to be a major alignment of any sort. Even when the earth is aligned with the moon, Jupiter, and the sun, there is negligible effect except from the sun. Uranus will not have an increased magnetic field by 10,000 times. Again, this is like taking a flashlight, some mirrors, and claiming you created a death beam. And? So, a Calendar ends. Big whoop. The Mayans weren't around then. You know what? Those dates are imprecise. It could have been 39,001. Or it could have been 82,098. Cro-Magnon man likely evolved before the first fossil evidence of them, and that aboriginal number either represents the Homo Erectus population at the time, or is blatantly incorrect. Over 10,000 years. The magnetic field of the sun fluctuates in cycles. We're expected to have strong solar storms in 2010-2014. We had them in the 80s. People lost their porn over satellite for a while. No big deal. Volcanic activity? I'm certain there are no vulcans. Live long and prosper my arse. The activity of the volcanoes today is actually very small compared to three billion years ago, two billion years ago, and one billion years ago. Oh, and 100,000 years ago. Why? Because the earth is actually cooling slowly, ever so slowly. It is kept hot by its radioactive decay core, in which uranium continues to break down. Does that mean we're all going to die of volcanic radiation poisoning? No. We're well adapted to radiation if you look at it. That doesn't mean high burst or nuclear man - that means we have a constant background radiation that we live with. Our cells have many repair functions. Otherwise we would all be dead. If it shifts, it shifts. There's some extra background radiation. Big whoop. Didn't wipe out life before, won't wipe out life again - considering humans have lived through it before. Between 1963 and now there has been an increase of humans. From 2 billion to 7 billion. More humans means more 'disasters'. Stop crapping your pants over fear mongers people. Bullshit. I said it. Because that is what it is. Even if we did have a huge solar storm like that of which hit in the 1850's and knocked out all our power lines - our computers would still work, our manufacturing would still go forth, and our society would continue on. Just turn your computer off on bad days. If it knocks out the power on earth, it will be out for only as long as it takes to repair the lines. The power plants will still function - just the connections will be fried. Yes, a month or two without power would be catastrophic, but it would teach us all a damn good lesson. Shielded wires are better. If we grounded and sheilded all our major lines, we could avert any sort of disaster. Anyways, I have a stockpile of printed files on how to build electric generators capable of powering anything I might need using a lawnmower, a car battery, and an alternator. There's also solar power, and wind turbine power that could be built easily by someone with a little bit of gray matter in their skulls. Please Note: I realize this post is god-awful ancient, and someone has addressed these before, but I had the urge to purge my thoughts on this. If everyone who thinks the world will end in 2012 would just jump off bridges, we could have a better society right now, and solve some of the hunger issues. You're wasting resources if you think the world will end. So what if I am wrong? So what if the world does end? Hell, I could care less - because then you'd all be dead anyways and I wouldn't need to worry about your sorry lives. But, if you so strongly believe that the world will end in 2012, do me a favor. Stop forwarding me emails about it, and keep that little 'secret' to yourself. Otherwise go propel your car off a bridge and leave more resources for the rest of us. Misanthropy is a wonderful thing.

A lot of predictions like these ones have already been said before. If it's really the end of the world, no one can really tell. and there's no way in telling that the world will end in a particular time.

It's all BS. It is a spiritual move where we see we can no longer go on with wars and living like we currently are now. I believe those who survive, if anything does come, Nibiru, will go on to restore the Earth and teach the history truthfully and it will be a Venus Project type world. No money, no oil, no greed, no hierachy. As far as the ifhc.org well I believe that is either a ploy to receive free tickets to the sony movie 2012 later in the year, the movie aims to scare people about 2012 and I don't believe this is what will happen at all, though it remains a possibility. Though I know the way the world works and th hidden languages everywhere, so maybe it is a way to make the public aware without terrifying them. Whatever happens we need to learn that we are all one species and are currently destroying the planet. There is so many free technologies and what not available that just keep getting suppressed, why do you think they are now trying to filter the net/suppress the stuff they don't want truth seekers to find......
