Today I saw a book with this subject and I was sure I would never buy such a book...it's really stupid...Live your life and don't worry about the future, because you can't know anything about it

Heres some interesting facts about this topic. 1. If the world was really going to end don't you think people in the media would at least discuss about it? You know how desperate newspapers are for interesting stories. They lack of stories so they make stories dedicated do celebrities actions "Oh.. 50 Cent went to his house" and "50 Cent went to town for the first time" and all this BS so they'd obviously get stories like these. 2. The world came in as a huge hot ball and is slowly dying (as researchers have said) and if true meaning that earth will eventually die, when your dust and rotted away in your grave. 3. It's impossible for the sun to grow hotter as it has a lifespan, It's in it's 3 billion lifespan and half of it has already gone. If the sun just came then we wouldn't be here because it'd throw so much heat (near to 4000) we'd dissolve in less than a millisecond. The sun is slowly dying and in 1.5 billion years it will go. It takes 2 years to send sunlight to the Earth so we'd get 2 years of more sun before it actually dies (lol). 4. If the world's going to really end, what's there to scared about? You might have fear but that's just natural. Just forget it, live your life and your destiny will end when it's meant to be. Everything has a reason, We can't control what happens outside Earth and natural causes. There's nothing nobody can do, Money isn't valuable in this type of scenario. If you believe in God then you will believe in a good afterlife whereas if you don't you'll just be miserable about what will happen next. 5. Life won't be forever (as many have researched) but that's not actually a true statement, Only proof of other things have helped build up what we know right now. Nothing in the world is guaranteed (unless you buy dedicated hosting and get a free SSL off GoDaddy ) so you don't know if anything's actually true it's just what has been found. The sea is so deep we haven't found out if there are anymore animals and 99.99% there is over 2,000 more species to be found and even 1 one of them could be very useful for us. So you don't know what's around the corner. So don't believe the bullcrap, believe in your heart and your belief because that's your real and reliable source. You can't really get a better source than your heart, you can justify it but that's what you believe. If you don't believe in a religion I'd advise you look into it a bit more. Even Wikipedia can't always be correct, it's just what PEOPLE know - Mainly to get a better communication and to understand references. For all those believers (include myself) - I'm in Islam. God made us and he decides when we die, When you read the Quran it tells you when the world will end when things start to appear and Judgement day will arise. And quite frankly, out of all of things that need to appear. Only one has (which hasn't been confirmed), which is something associated with the "Web" which many have thought to be the "WWW - World Wide Web". Hope it helps.

I`m not agree with you guys. I didn`t knew about this thread because I`m new around here and I find it interesting. I heard before about this issue of 2012. But it`s cool to see what people think about it. I don`t believe that world will end in 2012. At least not while I am still alive. lol 50% of what mayans predicted camed true..., so don`t worry. We have 50% 50% chances. I am optimistic.
Hovewer, those who are supposed to live will stay alive I see it as a big fight betwen good and evil...
i don't really believe in this stuff, to me its media-induced paranoia firstly, you have to consider that it was written by a civilization that lived over 500 years ago that had no knowledge of any other groups of people secondly, there is no proof that they were referring to a specific god, which could have been the god that THEY worshipped.
All these stories were spoken from themouth of man ... they are not truth ... all man know is that something changes ... but we are certanly not going to die, you understand? scientests are simply stupid ...
