The problem with the 2012 enigma is that so many focus on Doomsday secenarios. That isn't what it's about at all. It's about convergence of cosmic events. I don't expect this to be understood by the binary mentality. 2012 isn't about something that will or will not happen. Something, obviously, will happen. The weight of so many people thinking about it will make it so. But will this be a physical event of great special effects and widespread doom? I doubt it. One point of interest is that the date falls between election and inauguration of a new US president. World changes may logically follow a change in regime. History may later see that massive changes happened in this period, pivoting on December 21, 2012. Nothing happened in Y2K-except two stolen elections, 9-11, war in the Middle East, loss of civil rights in the US, worldwide famine, a quintupling of the price of oil, a massive environmental push... I believe that time is a cycle, and the way we measure it affects the pattern of events. This is a mystical belief, and you are free to mock it, but great change is on the way...whether in 2012 or beyond. Perhaps these dates are merely a way to focus our energy on change. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuScU3Gxpf0
honestly this is the most stupid thread ever posted. No body knows when is the end. so stop predicting.
Let it! if it's the end.. let it be.. we can't do anythin' about it anyway.. so just live your life like it's your last day.
If you want to know reason why it can end then visit my LENS it gives fullest details about this matter.
The 2012 date is a misunderstanding of the Mayan calendar. The claim is that 12/21/2012 the Mayan calendar ends, and because of that, so does the world. Of course this considers that Mayans counted their dates in a similar fashion to our Gregorian calendar. They did not. Despite what many people think, the Mayan calendar does not end on 12/21/2012. The Mayan calendar is complex, and is made up of groups like weeks and months but there are more of them. Using the Mayan calendar it's 12/21/2012 will read 13.0.0.0.0. The numbers in the Mayan calendar aren't going to run out until sometime in the 41st century. Honestly, the Mayan calendar makers probably just thought that they had done enough to last them for a long time when they stopped adding details to the calendar.
I've got a better question, when is this topic going to die 2012? What do you think? davidspan General Chat 41 Today 9:27 am Is the world going to end in 2012? Aside from my belief that Atlantis had to have been in S.America...has anyone heard of the Mayan calendar? It shows the ending of the world in December 21, 2012.
i dont think so..we are already having many threads on this topic http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=905769 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=939960 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=944314
It doesn't show the end of the world on the 21st of December, 2012. The calendar just ends on that date.
From what I remember Nostradamus had predicted the world to end a few years ago but nothing happened so don't worry about it. If some thing were to happen it would take a long long time as it is a long process. Well if "The Day After Tomorrow" is based on reality than maybe not lol
