Damn it, I really wanted to be retired in 10 years...

 

Hmm... That's not a very exciting news. I hope that prophecy does come true.

 

In 2012 I'm planning on bringing my little brother to the London Olympics

 

It's not just based on predictions, there's also an element of (meta)physics with the starts/planet/universe aligning in a certain way and loads more intricate stuff. Read some non-conventional wisdom books if it interests you. Even if you choose not to believe it, the concepts are intriguing.

 

yep they said something about earth aligning with like the milky way or something and like the moon or something and the earth changing position on the axis or something. Lets hope we survive.

 

Well, let's face it, this probably won't be the first alignment like this. We'll be allright. Really. Trust me!

 

I aligned with my wife once and 9 months later life, as I knew it, was over.

 

Most people confuse something important.

The end of the world does not necessarily mean that the earth will explode or something. The end of the world can mean the end of the way we live right now. People may start to trust each other, realize that capitalism as well as communism (and other political beliefs) are just useless and that we must do something about the way we currently live.

I believe that the Mayan (who vanished without a trace from their cities for no apparent reasons) may have predicted the end of an age.

Anyway, we will see at the end of 2012 if they were right or not.

 

If the world ends in 2012 I'll go out with a bang listening to "Marilyn Manson - The Last Day On Earth" with some super-hot gothic asian chick somewhere haha...

I could find a prophecy for every year in our history speculating that the world is ending...It's all here-say...If it happens it happens, nothing anyone can really do about it ...Unless we invent a time machine and live in 1999 forever, ahh, those were the days! Did anyone see Deja Vu? Haha

Omg, i thought few guys at work were playing with me saying that 2012 , Dec 21 is the end of the world, but after i watched the video they provided the link to , i was shocked and had to post here what others think is going to happen. And i do not know if any of you guys heard that its predicted that first contact is made in India at about 2008 or something. So dunno what is true, but it does not hurt to be prepared

Hm, people have been predicting doom as long as they've been recording history.. let's put it this way, whenever it happens, it's inevitable it's going to end "someday".. 2012 is early enough to stock some popcorn and enjoy the show.. the newshounds will eat it up.
