    According to many prophecies, 2012 is a year where there are prophecies about the end of times like the End of Mayan calendar, The Bible code's prophecies, Nostradamus' prophecy, and others.

    Well, sometimes prophecies are made to scare people by those so-called "Astrologers" who does not have any business in their lives. Prophecies can also be true, its a matter of chance.

    And IMO, all of those who predicted 2012, have died before we were made in this world, and that is the punishment for them for scaring people.:D

    the "Bible Code" was proved to be false...it doesn't work due to the way the original scrolls were written down, without vowels or spaces between words/letters. But hey, if thats when, then you will see me buying a Porsche on Dec 31, 2011.

    yeah sure, they said exactly the same in the late 90's about 2000...
    btw. the maya had more than only one calendar system, some with 260 day circles and even one with a 52 year circle - so yeah, ONE of them may end in 2012 - and starts over again. where is the big deal here?

    Apparently there are a lot of predictions about that year.

    I prediction is that a lot of frenzy will happen with the news picking the story up much like Y2K and then the world will end in 2013 just when people breathe a big sigh of relief.

    I don't think the world is going to end.

    There is a theory however that there is going to be a great spiritual enlightenment in 2012, I don't know how true this is.
