Hello to my new DP neighbors. My name is WC Rocket and I am making DP my new home. For a long time I have been a lurker on the internet. I have spent my time on the outer edge of the webmaster social scape, but now I have come to the front of the line to rub elbows with the best here at DP. A little about me and my past. I am not new, at all, especially to the internet and webmastery. I started making websites as a young teenager in the late 90's that quickly matched my skills in marketing and socializing. Just after the turn of the millennium, I had a small portfolio of websites, mostly local sites for youth to socialize online. I was making a name for myself and branching out. I soon graduated from high school and went to college. At this point I spent more time developing websites than attending class. I managed to produce some high ranking, high traffic, and highly popular buddy icon websites when AIM was everyone's IM program of choice. These buddy icon websites and others managed to pay my living costs through school. My only regret came during my senior year of college. I decided to start selling off my websites. One by one I sold each of my websites in my portfolio. I spent too much time listening to my parents, professors, and respected adults about how I needed to get a JOB. I was young and naive. With my portfolio completely sold and a new job secured, I began the grueling 9 - 5 that everyone dreads to do, but obeys. I was married shortly after, and child soon after that. I thought everything would be fine, but I quickly realized I was not doing what I truly was passionate for. I wanted to be making websites. I started up a small business on the side to work with local small business and web development. I had a goal to make the websites or remake the websites of the most influential businesses in town. At this point, I only have one left on my list and they just contacted me this week... Now I am asking myself, what's next? I want more. So now, with family in tow, I will be leaving my cushy job at the end of the year and getting back to what I live to do. That is why I am here at DP. I am eager to help all with my knowledge and experience of the internet and all it has to offer. Thanks for reading, - WC Rocket
