Ways you cannot promote your affiliate links?

Can the members of DP, especially those who are experienced with CJ give a run-down of ways and methods you are not allowed to promote your CJ text links?

(eg, signature in forums, buying ad space with Adwords, newsletters, posting in comments on blogs, social networking sites such as Myspace).

    Thanks

most of those would be okay with most publishers. remember, though, different publishers have different restrictions.

the most common restriction is not being allowed to do PPC for their store/brand/site name.

With MySpace you can't put affiliates links in, they don't allow it, they're trying to make their own money :)

With forums, most forums don't allow it, some do. If it's your own forum, usually not a problem.

Comments in blogs with affiliate links? Can't see blog owners liking it. Not good to go spamming your link everywhere like that, forums, blogs etc.

Newsletters are great, if they're your own. If you're buying email lists from anybody and sending it to them, you're pretty much spamming.

some publishers mention in their policies that you should not use their brand name in your title tags etc. (in case you optimize your site and start coming # 1 in SERPs for that KW).

I can only think of the one below at the moment.

    - Merchant brand names in PPC ads
    - Email spamming not allowed
    - Spamming blogs/guestbooks
