Hey folks. I did some keyword research today. A few of the keywords I found, got some several millions searches per month according to Google's Keyword tool. Now, for all of those keywords, no exact "keyword.com" was registered, so I registered all of them. The highest one gets approx. 60,000,000 searches per month in Google. Again, I registered the keyword itself dot com. My question is, if I create a website or a blog with this domain, and supercharge it "SEO speaking" (hiring a professional to do the job for me, build backlinks, do some good onsite SEO etc.) and get it to rank on the top 5 on Google, what practices would be the best to monetize the traffic expected to surge through my site? PPC? Google Adwords? Affiliate Marketing? CPA? I am looking for the most simple way, and in my eyes it would be Google Adwords. I may be looking at this the wrong way and a bit childish, but here is a very quick and simple breakdown: *Perform SEO, get it to rank at the top (I am willing to put up to $3000 for SEO to get me to the top) *Choose a way to monetize the site, PPC? CPA? Affiliate Marketing etc. *Now let's say I chose PPC, and I get 20 cents on each click. And let's say out of the 60,000,000 I get 30,000,000 on my site, and 1% click on it, so 1% out of 30,000,000 is 300,000. Now multiply 300,000 times $0.2 equals $60,000 per month expected earnings. The numbers seem to high to be true. Can someone burst my bubble please? Thanks
The amount of clicks depends if the visitator is satisfied with the content available on your site. If a visitator likes your site and keep looking into it, that persone may click on a ad. If the visitator does not enjoying the content, it might quit the site very fast, without looking at your ads. You should multiply 300.000 with $0.1 because this is a common PPC
Actually you can try using different oprions. Nobody can stop you from placing Google ads together with selling some banner ad spaces via ad networks. And you can try some CPA offers selling the rest of your traffic as remnant via remnant traffic advertising networks for example.
why don't you try a toolbar or sth..you gain cash on the CPC basis, the more people click on your toolbar, the higher the profits. i'm currently deploying clubfinity's toolbar on my site and it works just fine. generally, if u really have good traffic, toolbars will get you money and most of them, you can download for free!
Working with exact match keyword domain is bit different. You shouldn't solely depend upon adsense earning as you need to get good amount of traffic and the common CPC is .01% (agree with cr0n1cal). So don't expect really big earnings with adsense alone. But if you move a step further and try to contact advertisers will give you a decent amount. You can use: 1. Link sales 2. Advertise niche products 3. Write reviews 4. become an affiliate. Since exact match keyword domains are tend to rank higher, you can get natural traffic to your site. Advertisers who are paying x$ per click will definitely want their site to be listed on domain which matches with the keyword they are paying for. IMO
Did you limit to exact match searches when you were researching? I know that's tripped me up in the past!
You can monetize your traffic with a variety of ways, but realistically obtaining $60,000 a month via PPC is a little far off, several factors come into play
I believe the best way to monetize your traffic is with affiliate offers. You can get affiliate offers from Neverblue, Clickbank, Commission Juction, Amazon Affiliate Program etc Those are some of the many affiliate networks.
I'd go with all of the above. Testing every method is the only way to find the one that generates the most income.
Are the keywords which you are talking about are having searches of 'Exact matches'. I think it is not, I think you have got the data through 'broad match'
The idea is not that much shit at all; you can try bro though the money may not be as handsome as u r thinking but it is profitable. Please choose the ppc that really pay otherwise all will be lost in vain.
