Please give me ideas how do promote free online dating site.

    My thoughts so far:

    1. Reviewme
    2. Payperpost
    3. PRWEB
    4. Stumbleupon targeted traffic
    5. Text-links Ad

Do you have any ideas what i should put in my list?

    Thanks.

Don't forget to try marketing through social networking sites, they probably have more of a target audience than DP ;)

You could distribute a free ebook related to dating, of course with some links to your site.

Then go to directories listing freebies and add a link to it there.

I'm presently testing the results of working with exchange pop-ups, that are used to promote your site, when visitor leave the site of other websites that are using the same program.... It's called exit explosion....

Why don't you put a link in your sig for starters, even if no one signs up it's not going to harm your wallet!

I have this advice for you. If your going to be running a big site then it will require big attention and efforts.

    1. As a previous partner to a great dating site, I think it's the thing that seperates a person leaving straight away as opposed to joining up is pretty much the main title banner and name of the site. Of course the site must be appealing but that's a given. The picture in the banner, logo, and name. If it looks great people will join, if it looks like crap then consider a tiny fraction of visitors joining up.

    2. The most important thing. If you are not popular in your town/city then you may have a problem. Something about a dating site is 100 members in the same city are worth more than 10,000 visitors scattered in the world, so you need to promote out of the house as well as on the internet. People are not going to join unless there are others in their hometown or nearby where they live. I didn't really wouldn't have this problem if I ran this site. I was sure I could grab 600 locals to start, then hit up on the nearby cities.

    3. If you want to speed things up you may want to hit up on adwords. Make sure to put in all of the cash you want to put in within a month, not a long period of time. Seriously, be sure to choose what are you are advertising ads at.

    4. Heavy advertising in a short period of time is the only way to beat the empty roadblock you'll have. You really need to target certian areas and cities then expand out to close by cities and so on. Before people join they often check to see if there is anyone they know at the dating site. I do this all of the time for fun. This is how lavalife started and facebook, so you should do the same.

    5. Regardless if your serious about it I absolutely recommend a partner or two. Don't just hire anyone. Make sure they are a good enough individual who won't leave the site hanging. Probably the type of guy who will call you up for little meetings, and help promote. It would be easy to tell that members have came from this partner by where he lives.

    6. Do not worry if anyone says "oh, its too competitive". There is enough people in the world for everyone plus a million more. They told me my arcade will be not worth it because there is so many and now I'm 2nd page of the highest keyword in the world for it "Online games".(I'm working on firstpage). If your going to think and do big then surely you can expect big competition and bigger problems. It won't be easy but it's good that your taking a large step.

Have a business plan, not random advertising.
I'm hyped that you are going to run a site like this. It's not often people around here go for big sites. It seems a lot of people are always just starting up cheap sites just to sell them later.....but then again who am I to speak. I own an arcade and a dinosaur site.

Im running a hybrid site of dating and socialising, but since im a student and no money behind me its been really really hard to break out to bigger audience with convencional ways. its pretty new, but still - the daunting thought of bigger competition is always there, but it has always been for anything :)

I am looking for experienced partner in such fields, but it is hard to fine a good reliable one...

Try to offer something unique. Also, use SEO for best results. Prepare to open your pocket, it is not impossible to have success with a new dating site, but it takes time and lots of money... if you are a newbie.

    A) place personal adverts on (social) networks

    B) set up an auto responder on the same email you used as a contact..telling them that the bestway to get in contact with you is to your profile (on your social network) this is the best way for them to get to know you etc.

    C) laugh of your socks of and post more personals and set up automatic email messages to registered users to keep them active :p

    p.s i don't run a social/dating site YET but this will be a actic i will try :)

    tell me what you think
