try forum coz there is where ppl with the same interested gather and at the same time you get to know what people really want from this niche.
I would target lots of easy and specific keywords, instead of targeting a few big ones, have lots and lots of relevant content on your website to get the long tail keywords and advertise on similar niche sites. You also need to get into the mindset of your consumer!! what would they do?
Youtube is a good place to start. Do some videos about your niche, post them on youtube with targeted keywords in the title and tags. People looking for your niche will find your videos. Once you have the videos made, join tubemogul. Once you have all of your accounts setup, you can use tubemogul to push your videos out to almost a dozen sites at one time.
Video marketing is an effective way too, then use as well social networking sites like FB and twitter.
If you have a decent knowledge on the subject, then youtube is the way to go. Put more emphasis on social media and get the traffic coming back to your website.
Myspace is a social networking site more for musicians, I have read that, there are musicians selling musics online on their myspace page. You should create myspace page and market to the members there.
For music I think that social marketing, YouTube, and music related forum marketing would work well for this.
