Ways to make use of old computer ..?

There's no point in keeping it - give it to charity.

Believe it or not, charities have standards and they are not going to want something that you've modified that makes it impossible to sell on.

 

Make a little game Search some friends and try to throw the computer as far as you can. Who throws the most far wins ! Easy game but allot of fun.

You don't want money by selling it, you don't want to use money to upgrade it and you don't even want to modify it. Then give it away to someone who really needs it, or just exchange it for some kind of service or other useful thing.

You can probably opt for bluetooth connectivity.
